■ Formal Public Consultation on the District Council Leadership's 'Preferred Option' Core Strategy & Sustainability Appraisal will run from 7 February to 20 March
“The Core Strategy will decide how the District will be developed over the next 20 years, including how 15,000 new homes will be distributed. It is the single most important decision this District Council will ever take. Councillors will be deciding what sort of District we hand on to our children and their children
“Regrettably the District Council Leadership has not grasped the full reality of this responsibility. Instead of learning lessons from the Area Action Plan, they are repeating the same mistakes. Once again offering an incomplete and ill considered consultation document full of errors and inaccuracies, that sets out to pre-determine the consultation with just one single ‘Preferred Option’. It is ‘Not Fit for Purpose’ in anybody’s language
